Marseille-Provence 2013

Active cooperation with former and future European capitals of culture is also very important. Košice is preparing special projects in various thematic areas (multicultural cities, migration, art in public areas) with the French city of Marseille, the other holder of the European Capital of Culture 2013 title. The projects are at various stages of preparation. The centre of the presentation of international artistic space in Košice will be the reconstructed, former army barrack stores - Barracks/Culture Park. Thanks to its favourable border position and status as the Eastern Slovakia metropolis, Košice is providing a unique urban area for organising art festivals.
