CARAT

The first steps towards improving the current status of tourism in the Carpathian region were made by the CARAT project - Carpathian Region as an attractive tourist destination. Košice 2013, n.o., together with cross-border partners from Hungary, Romania and Ukraine, are working on strategy for mutual development of tourism and are preparing a plan for destination management. A spring board should be a mutual marketing study prepared separately for each region, a training programme for the implementation of activities and preparation of an interactive web platform. The experience and results of cooperation between Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine in the CARAT project would be presented at an international conference at the end of 2012.
