Kunsthalle
Due to its architecture, the Old Indoor Pool/Kunsthalle will mainly be used for organising international exhibitions, exhibitions of a chamber nature for the next generation, and workshops. Within the strategy of "Košice elements: light, water and sound", Kunsthalle will be used for interviews with artists, exterior projects such as mapping, sculpture, sound, objects and an interactive environment. After several specialist discussions, a proposal was made for maintenance of the connection between culture and the water world in the interior and exterior of the building, in order to follow its original historic function, but at the same time, to ensure that building use will make an important contribution to the European Capital of Culture project as well as to the historic city centre, creating conditions for strengthening cultural potential and tourism in the region. The main content of specific projects will be water in the form of dance and theatre arts as well as new media.
