„Academic Košice“ is a festival of the creativity of university students in Slovakia. The uniqueness of this event is based on the specific background of Košice university students (a symbiosis of humanities and technically orientated students) which determines the type, genre and thematic distinctiveness of this event. The production categories are: personal literary creations – an essay, artistic translation, rhetoric, alternative projects bordering art, musical, film and theatre, audio-visual art and theatre in a non-theatre environment. The festival will be in contact with the Academic Prešov event. Within the cooperation between Prešov and Košice, a symbiosis of the content of the festivals may create a unique event. The participation of foreign personalities and arts ensembles will form a natural part of the event‘s programme.
