The Košice – European Capital of Culture 2013 project initiated local artistic associations and individuals to establish a new institution for contemporary literature and its related forms – the European House of Poetry Košice (EHPK). The EHPK is the first Slovak centre which in 2013 will be officially included in the international network of poetry houses in francophone countries. Cooperation between Košice 2013, n. o. and the EHPK and cipM – International Centre of Poetry in Marseille will result in the publishing of a bilingual book as a sample of the works by three Slovak poets – Katarína Kucbelová, Mária Ferenčuhová and Ján Gavura, and three French poets – Michèle Métail, Esther Salmona and Nicolas Pesquès. Two creative ateliers are planned within this project (20 – 25 May 2013 – the first atelier in Marseille with the presentation of the ENTER+ magazine, the second atelier in Košice on 23 – 28 September). The publication will be issued in December 2013 and its
official release in Košice and in Marseille will be a full stop to 2013, which connected two capitals of culture.
