Journey to the Unknown is a mini-festival which addresses social and community themes using forms of art. Its aim is to support activities focusing on the cooperation between artists and citizens in disadvantaged communities and to develop new approaches in social and community work. During the Eastern Minute workshop, young Roma will film their own one minute film. Civic association Art Eko and Roma women from Tornaľa will present their own models inspired by Roma elements. It will also include a vernissage of the Out of the Circle exhibition by young artist, Ľudmila Horňáková, who has worked with senior citizens in Furča since October 2012. Visitors are waiting for the theatre play called Edge from Petra Tejnorová, which is a probe into the lives of the over 60s. They worked in a theatre and dance environment in various roles. The programme will culminate in a dance performance called Simulante Bande by the VerteDance ensemble from Prague and with a photographic exhibition called Odyssey by French photographer, Antoine d’Agata.
