The project focuses upon the maintenance, support and presentation of folklore culture. It is a regional competition for adults from all parts of Košice.
The aim is to encourage singers of folklore songs and members of singing groups to seek, formulate and interpret musical/singing folklore material and create space for public presentation and discussion. This is the 12th year of this regional event, which has already discovered several young singing talents and supports the existence and activities of singing groups and soloists interpreting
folklore songs. The winners of our competition go forward  to the Gold Section of the nationwide competition in musical folklore for adults which takes place every three years. It is designed for the wide public interested in folklore.
