PEARLE (Performing Arts Employers Association League Europe) was established in 1991. It represents more than 3,500 theatres, theatre companies, orchestras, opera, ballet and dance companies and other professional organisations performing live art in Europe. The aim of this non-profit making, non-government organisation is to build a balanced environment for supporting the maintenance and improvement of performing arts in Europe. Pearle – serves as a forum for the exchange of important information by members, to support and assist in the establishment of employer‘s associations in Central and Eastern European countries. It is a member of the European Social Dialogue Committee, where they operate with the EAEA (European Arts & Entertainment Alliance), consisting of three federations: FIM (International Federation of Musicians), FIA (International Federation of Actors) and EURO-MEI (Media Arts and Entertainment International, a federation representing associations of composers and technicians in the area of media arts and entertainment).
