The City of Košice and U. S. Steel Košice have signed a memorandum about the Creative Factory project

Mayor of Košice Richard Raši and President of U. S. Steel Košice David J. Rintoul signed a Memorandum of Understanding on November 10, 2011. They agreed on realization of the Creative Factory project in one of the buildings in the Barracks/Culturpark grounds. It will be reconstructed as part of the Košice – European Capital of Culture 2013 project. The City of Košice undertakes in the memorandum to give the reconstructed building of the future City Exhibition Center in the Culturpark for placement of the Creative Factory project. This non-commercial project will consist of technological installations designed to inspire children and young people to take a deeper interest in science, technology and engineering in a playful and interesting way, and to familiarize them with the different technological branches. The company U. S. Steel Košice will coordinate the installation of exhibits in the Creative Factory. Coalition 2013+ members, the City of Košice and U. S. Steel Košice will together contribute by means of this project to the sustainability of the Košice – European Capital of Culture 2013 project.   Source: Coalition 2013+
