Biela noc 2011: Movie marathon/www.youtube.com

The mobile video installation, called “Movie Marathon” , allows viewers to watch a video montage of famous running scenes from movies during a run around the center of the city. The video is accompanied by different ambient sounds of nature. The entire project reflects on today’s fast urbanistic lifestyle, or rather on having any rest in our ancient private sphere – the nature. (Just like Jean-Jacques Rousseau propagated his philosophy “Back to Nature” ) It wants to get people to think about their life for at least a few minutes while running. This sport-art installation is also a symbolic link for two major events taking place on the weekend of 1st October in Kosice: Nuit Blanche (White Nights) and International Peace Marathon.
