Two in One will host as many as 80 musicians

This Saturday Košice will commemorate the fourth anniversary of obtaining the prestige title of European Capital of Culture 2013 via the Two in One gala concert. Visitors can look forward to quality music – there will be as many as 80 musicians from Košice and Prague performing on the podium next to the Immaculata.

Thanks to the European Capital of Culture title, Košice parks will become a place of relaxation and safety

The reconstruction and revitalisation of parks has now started as one of the investment projects of European Capital of Culture 2013. In the coming months, companies TuCon a.s. and ERPOS spol. s r.o. will implement modifications in four parks – Komenského east and west, Moyzesova and the City Park. This will result in the creation of a safe area with pleasant green areas offering a wide spectrum of options for the people of Košice and visitors to our city.

Today (30th July 2012) Košice will also introduce itself to visitors to the greatest sporting event in the world, the London 2012 Olympic Games. Mainly thanks to the European Capital of Culture 2013 project, the people of Košice would like to attract the interest of the world public as much as possible, interest not just in the city but in the whole of Eastern Slovakia.

The Amphitheatre, Crafts Lane and heat exchanger stations SPOTs are additional investment projects within the European Capital of Culture Košice 2013 (ECC) project that have successfully completed the administrative tender process for contractors. Today the buildings were officially turned over to the successful bidders: Inžinierske stavby, a. s., PKB invest, s. r. o., and APS Alkon, a. s.
